Adam Taylor est un guitariste et compositeur jazz originaire de Grande-Bretagne. Il vit actuellement aux Pays-Bas, où il participe à plusieurs projets et joue régulièrement sur les scènes européennes et de G.B.. Il détient une maîtrise (Cum Laude) en jazz du conservatoire de Codarts à Rotterdam.
Après avoir gradué de Leeds College of Music en 2013 avec honneur en jazz, Adam remporte plusieurs prix grâce à son jeu innovatif. Il reçoit le prix commémoratif Eric Kershawen en guitare et le LCM 606 club competition en 2013. En 2014, il reçoit le prix Jimmy Woode et, en 2015, il se classe semi-finaliste dans la prestigieuse compétition de jazz de Montreux.
Étant l'un des rares guitaristes jazz à utiliser la technique tactile, développée principalement par Stanley Jordan, Adam joue de façon pianistique sur le manche de sa guitare avec ses deux mains, capables de se déplacer sur tout le manche de façon indépendantes simultanées.
Adam a été membre de l'orchestre de jazz contemporain de Leeds College of Music, de l'orchestre de l'académie Metropole et de l'ensemble d'improvisation libre de Corrie Van Binsbergen.
Il joue actuellement avec Neon and the Deons, un quatuor avec Dillon Baiocchi sur le saxophone alto, Johannes Fend sur la contrebasse et Richie Struck à la batterie. Ils travaillent sur du nouveau matériel et partiront en tournée à travers l'Europe en 2017.
Adam participe à un projet en duo avec la chanteuse Vera Naus dans lequel ils ont mis en musique deux scènes de Shakespeare. Ils entreront en studio en février pour enregistrer leur premier album. Le duo sera également en spectacle en Europe en 2017.
Adam mène également un trio appelé ZuntZ avec Johannes Fend à la contrebasse et Richie Struck à la batterie. Le premier album 'Volume' est disponible en téléchargement et sur C.D. Adam Taylor et ZuntZ présente un mélange de jazz contemporain, d'improvisation collective et de musique groove sur scènes Européennes en 2017.album. Le duo sera également en spectacle en Europe en 2017.

Adam Taylor is a jazz guitarist and composer from the U.K. He is currently based in the Netherlands where he is involved in several projects and performs regularly on the European and U.K scene. He holds a masters degree (Cum Laude) in jazz from Codarts conservatory, Rotterdam.
After graduating from Leeds College of Music in 2013 with a first class honours degree in jazz, Adam won several awards for his innovative playing. He received the Eric Kershaw memorial prize for guitar and the LCM 606 club competition in 2013. In 2014 he received the Jimmy Woode award and in 2015 he was a semi-finalist in the prestigious Montreux jazz guitar competition.
One of the few jazz guitarists to use the touch technique developed predominantly by guitarist Stanley Jordan, Adam is able to sound like a piano with two independent hands able to move all over the neck simultaneously.
Adam has been a member of the Leeds College of Music contemporary jazz orchestra, The Metropole academy orchestra and Corrie Van Binsbergen's free-improvisation ensemble.
He currently plays in Neon and the Deons, a quartet featuring Dillon Baiocchi on the alto sax, Johannes Fend on Double bass and Richie Struck on drums. They are working new material and will be playing across Europe in 2017.
Adam is in a duo project with singer Vera Naus in which the two set Shakespeare sonnets to music. They will go into the studio in February to record their debut album. The duo will also be performing across Europe in 2017.
Adam also leads a trio called ZuntZ with Johannes Fend on Double bass and Richie Struck on drums. With a debut album 'Volume' available as a download and on C.D, Adam Taylor's ZuntZ will be bringing their blend of contemporary jazz, collective improvisation and groove music to venues across Europe in 2017.
