Tomás Diaz es un músico autodidacta e Ingeniero en Sonido nacido en Santa Cruz, Chile, conocido como bajista de jazz, rock y metal, durante 10 años fue miembro de la banda de jazz de Rancagua "Ciudad Antena". El 2013 descubrió un
instrumento musical que abrió un nuevo mundo de posibilidades: El Chapman Stick, una mezcla entre el bajo y la guitarra eléctrica tocada con una técnica llamada "tapping" se convirtió en una parte
esencial de su trabajo en solitario. Sus primeros pasos con este instrumento fueron registrados en el EP "Opera Prima - Piezas para Chapman Stick" lanzado en 2016 y distribuido libremente
en plataformas digitales.
La novedad de su instrumento lo llevó a enfrentar desafíos más grandes en poco tiempo, fue así como a finales de 2014 se presentaba por primera vez en Europa.
En octubre de 2015 actuó en el festival
"Día de la Música Chilena" tocando para más de 3000 personas. En 2016 formó
parte del conjunto internacional ChilEtno junto con músicos de 8 países, en 2017
hizo su primera gira por Europa y luego realizó una gira por Chile, con un éxito notable y una muy buena recepción por parte del público.
En 2016 se mudó a Wrocław, Polonia,
donde pudo preparar los arreglos para el nuevo álbum, en 2017 realizó un concierto en la Universidad de Münster, Alemania, luego, de regreso en Chile, comenzó a grabar su primer álbum. Su trabajo ha recibido elogios de la prensa chilena y europea, incluso el inventor del Stick se refirió a Tomás como un músico prometedor.
Actualmente está promocionando su álbum en solitario llamado "Introspective", que incorpora arreglos de música clásica,
folk latinoamericano y composiciones propias."

Tomás Diaz is a self-taught musician and audio engineer born in Santa Cruz, Chile, known as a jazz, rock and metal bass player, for 10 years he was member of the jazz band from Rancagua “Ciudad Antena”.
In 2013 he discovered a musical instrument that opened a new world of possibilities: The Chapman Stick, a mix between bass and electric guitar played with a technique called "tapping" that became an essential part of his solo work. His first steps with this instrument were recorded on the EP "Opera Prima - Pieces for Chapman Stick" released in 2016 and freely distributed on digital platforms.
The novelty of his performance led him to take on larger challenges in a short time, so at the end of 2014 he played for the first time in Europe.
In October 2015 he performed on the festival "Día de la Música Chilena" playing for more than 3000 people. In 2016 he was part of the ChilEtno international ensemble along with musicians from 8 countries, in 2017 he made his first tour through Europe and then a tour in Chile, with remarkable success and a very good reception from the audience.
On 2016 he relocated to Wrocław, Poland where he was able to prepare the arrangements for the new album, on 2017 he performed a concert in the University of Münster, then back to Chile he started to record his first album. His work has received praise from the Chilean and European press, even the inventor of the Stick referred to Tomás as a promising musician.
He is currently promoting his solo album called “Introspective” which incorporate arrangements of classical music, Latin American folk and own compositions.
